doggy69 Mar 22nd, 04, 7:34 PM Send me one...
Hope the guy bending the lines isn't the same one who did the R&D on the nozzle placement.
Get your tuneups on the dyno.
IMO
MAT
shannont Mar 22nd, 04, 9:36 PM I'm not sure who did the work on the intake, but we will tune the FAST on the dyno. Being a dry setup will make it a little more difficult. The setup has 160# injectors.
BB_Mike Mar 22nd, 04, 9:45 PM All this on a 10" tire?
Either way, Rock on bro'
shannont Mar 22nd, 04, 9:54 PM All this on a 10" tire? ...better yet my beer drinking friend, Drag Radials

69 Ratt Vette Mar 22nd, 04, 11:16 PM Not to poke holes in any ones fun but there are a lot of things I do not like about the looks of that manifold. First the lines after the selinoids are wayyyy too long, will either cause a soft hit of at least a less than optimal tune up. If some one can post a pic for me I will send a pic of a dry system done right and you will see a big differance. Second, either you are using annular nozzles or they are turned sideways and the nitorus will spray against the side of the intake runner, not good either. For a dry system it is best to use a fan or jet spray nozzle desinged for a dry system, not one meant for a wet system.
If you plan on shooting 600 you better know what you are doing it is way beyond a forgiving tune. 600 requires aluminum rods and all the other stuff, oringed, forged everythig, timing dead on, lots of fuel, etc, etc. there is no way a 1200 hp two stage system is possible. You don't just stack them on top of each other, it is not that easy.
I am not trying to pee on anyones parade, but broken parts form nitrous are expensive and by the looks of that manifold I would be concerned.
bigjimzlll Mar 22nd, 04, 11:45 PM yea...I would serously concider a 300 and a 200 stage
shannont Mar 23rd, 04, 7:57 AM The most we've ever sprayed on the 540" motor was 275 and it shook the Drag Radials so hard it almost broke the drivers teeth out. We are going to try to spray 200 first stage and 300 second stage. This motor is a 12:1 572ci with 2x Brodix (Big Brodies) that have been ported. The cam is 284/302 @ 50 and 800 lift. It should make real good power on motor so we won't have to get carried away with the Gas.
JOEL_TX Mar 23rd, 04, 1:55 PM "You'll blow yourself up with that much nitrous!" :D
I hope the rest of the drivetrain can handle that or it's gonna get real ugly real quick......

I have a friend with nearly identical engine - 588 with 2xtras, 11.4:1 CR, a few deg less camshaft, single dominator and 2 stage plate. Goes like hell.
You posted a "before" picture of the tires - make sure to post an "after" picture of the pieces of rubber that are left hanging from the wheel. LOL
I commend you on your total disregard for chassis and tires in your quest for ridiculous unuseable power. You are on your way.

I've spun the tires VERY hard leaving on the brake with 400hp in the fogger and I've never broke my teeth. Almost messed up my shorts but never broke any teeth. :D
mr 4 speed Mar 23rd, 04, 6:53 PM
..over the top for sure graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Its like showing up at a knife fight with a flame thrower and a chainsaw :D
Bomber '67 Mar 23rd, 04, 10:36 PM They say that nothing succeeds like excess - and the truely demon speed possessed say that too much is just about right!
Maybe you'll never be able to harness all double 600 shot, but for sure you will be great entertainment trying smile.gif
Spray on brother hp junkie.
Thomas
shannont Mar 24th, 04, 6:39 AM Yep Tom just look at all the cool stuff I can break trying....

Jesse66Original Mar 24th, 04, 4:54 PM Does Freddie Pendarvis still run at Irvington??? I have know Freddie since 1956, A great guy. He use to get a lot of bang for his bucks.
Brady_67 Mar 26th, 04, 9:47 PM Yes, Freddy still runs @ Irvington, he's got a way cool little fiero.. 4.3 liter.. turbocharged... you know Freddy, he built it from scratch.. He's been high 5's @ Irvington and drives it to/from the track..
MAT, the intake may not be perfect, but it's been bottom 8's in a 3200# car on 10.5 tires.. it's not junk.

Bob West Mar 26th, 04, 10:53 PM I think our track record on drag radials is 5.62 @ 128 mph in the 1/8th held by a 3rd gen camaro,,,I mean he would stand that thing on the bumper, how he got them to hook i've never checked it out that close, but those guys in small tire and d/r class shooting all the nitrous are just nucking futs.
shannont Mar 27th, 04, 6:26 AM Doggy.. We've yet to get a real pass in the 1/8th mile on DR's The green camaro has been 9.55 in the 1/4 with them. The silver 95' and the black 81' haven't seen any thing but jack stands for the last ump teen months. :D
