I posted for advise before but i finally have the engine out and ready to go. I have a 68 chevelle with a 355, about 9.8to1 comp, sportsman II heads, performer rpm cam and intake, headers, 750hp carb, m-20 trans, 4.10 posi rear. I need a cam that i can use with my power brakes without a canister. I put around 2000miles a yr on it and plan to take it to the track a couple of times. I want a cam thats makes the most pwr but able to still have fun and drive it in town. The rpm cam sucks,a and its dead in town it doesnt' start to really come in untill your up in the rpm. I want a cam that i can nail it and have fun. I don't care if its hydralic or solid. The suggestions from before where the lunati 301b3 and the 401a6. Would the 301b3 be able to work my pwr brakes? Would the 401a6 work the pwr brakes, and is it to big for my combo and for a street/strip, mostly street car. Also how is the 401a3 solid cam? Any other suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

thanks guys,
lucky3

The A3 is a street profile, while the A6 is the smallest of the race profiles ( at least in the bbc lineup). In a 355, the A6 *might* have trouble working the brakes sometimes, while the A3 would not.

Also, I don't know what your timetable is, but Harold will be announcing a new line of cams come December.

What kind of springs would be best. Whould single springs work or do i need to go with doubles.
