I have a accell blue print distributor and an accel super coil. When I hook a tach up to the tach terminal it causes the car not to start. I unplug it and poof instant start. Ive tryed 2 diffrent tachs a cheapy sunpro and an in the dash factory tach both of them cause no start.

The wires have just been tripple checked. Red goes to +b and yellow goes to -c. The car starts and runs flawlessly with the tach disconnected, connect the tach and it kills the spark.

Sounds like a short at the tach terminal in the distributor.

Any ideas on trackin down the short? Everything is brand new with about 100 miles on it.

Postive wire? You mean the one in the cap or the one for the tach?
