hello
i am building a 402, the engine is .60 over, i measured it with a mic today and got 4.154. the compression ratio will be about 10.5 it has 990 heads, the engine casting number is 3999290 cast in 72. i need to find head gaskets what kind would work with this engine, im looking for a good gasket maybe felpro .39-41 thick. anyone have any sites or suggestions let me know.
thanks for your time!!!

The Fel Pro stock replacement gasket will work fine. It is probably around .038" or so. You would probably be way ahead of the game just buying a complete Fel Pro engine gasket set. The only thing you might have to change is the intake gaskets, depending on your head and manifold combination.

I've been using Rol HR series head gaskets they are .039x 4.345 9.47cc I buy them from here (link) because it's a hassel getting them from the local places. Have used them for 3 rebuilds on my 408BB with 10.7-1 compression never a problem.

Wouldn't 4.154 be .30 over, with 4.185 being .60 over?
