I've been to 5 body shops (all with decent reps) in town. I want them to check my el camino for frame sag. They all say the same thing "Its not in the computer" .

The last guy told me that he can do it, if I can come up with a "frame spec sheet." He said that it would most likely be found in a mitchells repair book from that era. Does anyone have a copy of this sheet, or know where I can find the info - I'm assuming 68-72 would be the same.

I've checked my Fisher Body Manual and Assembly Manual and I don't see anything that would be helpful.

Somebody will have it, I have two copies on my wall right now. I got them from this site somewhere. the copies I have are for a coupe/sedan/truck all one drawing.

Rick you said "Here's another version out of the GM chassis book." Is the Chassis Book similar to the Assembly Manual? Is it the Service Manual? available in reprint? And what is the precise title. I googled what I thought it might be and came up empty.

I checked the manual and it's called "Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual 1970" The part number on the book is:ST130-70
The picture is in Section 2 (Frame), Page 3.
You can probably get it from many of the manual dealers at swap meets or maybe even Ebay.

It is in the shop manual, chassis manual and body manual (at least that's the case for '65's).

For '71, it's in the Chassis Service Manual. Could not find it in the Fisher Body or Assembly manuals.

If you need all of the pages scanned for the Frame section in the Chassis Service Manual, I can do that. Let me know.

Most of the Chassis Service Manuals have an entire chapter on the frame, it's Section 2 in the '67 and '68 manuals.

This is the '68 manual that has the frame specs in Section 2. I would think the '72 manual would have the same info, but I don't know for sure.
