Is there a difference in 72 upper rear control arms and 67 upper rear control arms. I've heard both ways. Will they interchange or not? Thanks

The experts will have to chime in but if I had to guess I would say '64 to '72 are the same. The 12 bolts are a little different but will work with 10 or 12.

No, 64-67 are longer by about 3 or 4 inches.

Lowers are the same though.

The 64 - 67 arms are longer then the 68 - 72. The 64 arms are adjustable to set pinion angles but only fit 64 rear end housings. Lower arms are all the same from 64 - 72.

I sold a set of the stock adj. uppers to a co-worker and they worked on his 67 stock rearend. http://www.naxja.org/forum/images/smilies/dunno.gif

The ears were enlarged in 65 to accept larger bushings. The 64 arms will rub the casting.
This is a 65 upper arm, notice the bulge to clear the larger casting on the differential housing.

Upper control arms are different lengths; early (1964-67) are about 12 7/8" bolt to bolt and late (1968-72) about 10 1/4" bolt to bolt. The upper left control arm for a 12 bolt is clearanced/reinforced at the housing end bolt hole, the 10 bolt arm isn't.................
