Start with 18psi and move down from there.

15-21 PSI. I would start at 21 and gradually decrease 2 PSI each run until you hook, and then fine tune from there. 4 second burnout or so in 2nd gear. Thats what all the guys at the track seem to be telling me that have them.

I see you are from rochester, I'm from webster. Are you gonna go to NYIRP at Leciester? And if you have a 502 I would not be expecting them to hook too well smile.gif

I have found that 18psi works best with my 235/60R15 drag radials. I do a 2nd gear burnout until I get some good smoke (about 3 seconds) and then I roll out of the box still spinning for about another second.

Yes I am planning on going to leicester, one of these fri nites, trying to locate a trailer, afraid I may break something, also have cal-tracs,
so hoping I can get it to somewhat hook.

16-18 psi works for me and the 275/60/15's

I have a question for you guys that have the BFG Drag Radials. Do you run them on the street and if so how long do they last. I went to look at a pair yesterday and my freind who works for the shop said the don't last on the street. Also, I have about 450 horse out of a 454BBC, will they hook like a cheater slick, or just go up in smoke like a normal radial? TIA,
Chris

I ran 11.85 on drag radials with a 1.64 60ft time. I put a set on a year ago last spring, ran full time no/e program at the track and drove it occasionally on the street, lasted march til the end of july (5 months)...not too bad,but not 50000 miles either. I trashed the M/T's and installed drag radials last week, gonna run them again for a while.

Chris,BFG drag radials won't last too long on the street.I've heard that Nitto drag radials are the best for longevity.
I've used the BFG's in the past on my car,got my best 60 ft. with them too,a 1.83
I used to bolt them on at home, then drive 270 miles round trip to the track with them.I put over 2500 miles on them doing this. They're at the point now where I would still use them at the track, but I won't drive up on them (plus I bought some Hoosiers)
