First I would like to thank everyone for their advice and help getting me through this rebuild. I could not have done it and achived the results without your help. Thanks a Millions....
Here are a few number from my dyno yesterday, I will scan and post later the actual dyno sheets. We made about ten pulls after breakin and I was glad to spend the $300.00 for what I found and learned yesterday. The engine combo is in my signature.

Pull #A1967
Carb:4779
timing: 34
Dist:msd 85551
4300 rpm: 502.4 tq
5800 rpm: 464.9 hp

Pull #A1963
Carb:4779
timing: 32
Dist:msd 85551
4300 rpm: 495.4 tq
5600 rpm: 455.2 hp

Pull #A1963
Carb:4779
timing: 34
Dist:msd 85551
4300 rpm: 502.4 tq
5800 rpm: 464.9 hp

Pull #A1973
Carb:3310
timing: 36
Dist: H.E.I.
4600 rpm: 484.0 tq
5600 rpm: 466.5 hp

Pull #A1970/b]
Carb:3310
timing: 36
Dist:msd 85551
4700 rpm: 479.3tq
5600 rpm: 459.2 hp

Pull #A1971/b]
Carb:3310
timing: 37
Dist:HEI
4600 rpm: 481.3tq
5700 rpm: 457.5

The double pumper 4779 out perform the 3310 throughout the entire pull. Lost about 25# of tq with just a carb change.

At 5000 rpm's with the HEI and 3310 we had 471.8 tq and 449 hp and 6000 rpm's with the HEI and 3310 we had 402.5 tq and 459 hp.

She was still pulling at 6489 rpm with 352 tq and 434 hp.

Thanks everyone, but I need a double pumper with staright out the box 70/80 jets what his carb had... graemlins/hurray.gif

The average fuel F #/Hr was:
3310-173.8
4779-163.5
The smaller carb required more fuel

Good numbers DEEBOO. Can't wait to see your actual graphs! Been watching you post from the start of your buildup as I'm building a much similar motor(406, afr195's, manley flattops, xe284(still undecided tho), air gap, 1 5/8" shorties...). Good idea on breaking her in at the shop. Wish I had the time and extra cash to do so myself as well. Can you post your A/F ratio graphs as well?

aaron My Cr: was 10:48.1 according to Pat Kelly Calculator and quench of .041.
Here is my complete Combo Mostly every part was new, so it can be done cheaper. The only parts I orginally used of my old engine was the Edelbrock RPM and H.E.I Distributor w/ MSD Module and Accell coil, cap and rotor. This is a 95% street car...

DEEBOO,

Really nice numbers, please post your complete best curve, I like to quote such numbers.
How was the idle and vacuum, if you checked?
Was the throttle response and exhaust sound close to what I had predicted?
I'm not trying to be buttered-up, just want to know how it performed for you.....
