The speedometer in my 70 SS396 Elcamino has gave up the ghost. At first it was making kind of a squalling noise intermittantly then it would stop working for a minute or two. Now it doesn't work at all and is stuck at approximately 45mph. Before you say bad cable or burr or something to that effect the odometer still works fine it's just the speedometer. Anyone ever taken one apart to see what makes them tick? I have access to a 71-72 speedo that I could change the face off of but I don't wanna mess anything up and I wanna keep my mileage original. Thanks

Dave
