Yep, big congrats to Dave for such impressive times with such a sedate 3600lb combo. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Dave, looks like the DA was ~1600ft during the 10.98 pass. If you could have hooked on the last pass at 10pm it would have been ~950ft. Look for 10.80's/6.80's when you can run in some mid 50dg air(0ft DA) and hook it. graemlins/beers.gif

Edit: Dave just fyi. Weather at 7pm was 80dg/53dg dew pt/ 29.83 altimeter.

thanks so much guys. heres the particulars on the night.... made 1 full pass, 1 half pass, and a 40' belly flop. spent most of the night chatting with Rafel and John and had a great time. first pass 1.53-60' 6.96 1/8 at 98.52 mph. 10.98 at 121.26. the weather felt to be in the 70* for the pass. theres prabably a 10.80s in the car but only time will tell. next week the anti-roll bar goes on and suspension tuning will begin. aint life great! Congrats graemlins/thumbsup.gif graemlins/hurray.gif

Were thee any changes made which contributed to the 10 second ET, or was it mostly air/track condition related?

Todd, it was all weather related. i believe ive pretty much hit the wall on power as far as my tune goes. i may have to jet for colder weather. right now im fighting the traction issues. the concenses is if i can ever get it to absolutly DEAD hook,, it should go a 1.51. Dave

Ya, " hit the wall as far as power goes on this tune ". That's one beautiful MF wall Dave!

I seen so many users come here to TC Performance forum and say, " I hear this is where to get bbc advice."

Maybe, but there's quite a few 10 sec rattkillers. My dream is for Mike and Dave to 'propogate' their ratkiller combos for all, so I can read....

" I hear this is where to learn about 10 sec sbc combos....."

come on sbc folks, build some more!

That's a beautiful thing gentlemen!

Bore size?
Stroke length?

Just curious as to why a Dart Little M block and "only" a 383? ;)

Bill, in the beginning i had 3- 350 blocks. it was my guess 1 of them had to be a good block. 2 of them were acutally running engines. i purchased the rotating assymbly before hand assuming i had a usable block (thats why the Dart block has 350 journals). when the thing went to the machine shop i found out i had 1 block that was already .040. 1 was only a 2 bolt block and had the starter holes broke out. and the other machine work started only to find it would not clean up a .030 over. at this point i purchased a dart block. the bore is 4.030 with a 3.750 stroke. the nice thing about the Dart block is theres no core shift and cylinder bores that dont flex, and theres plenty of growing room. Having taken a ride in Johns car im glad i did not opt for more cubes as thats way faster than i care to go. the plan is to sort my combo out and ill be more than happy with what i have. Dave
