Have a 67 chevelle with 70 BB I dont know what motor mounts are on now,but heres my problem.Where motor mount bolts go through the holes are slotted when engine is lifted up and tightened every thing is fine for a week or 2 The I guess vibration causes bolt to move which drops engine and the oil pan rubs cross member which creates a squeak or chirping noise as it rubs. I have a Milodon pan. How do I fix this Are there mounts that will raise engine if so who sells them,or do I need a different oil pan.

Ted,
The bolts will not hold the engine "up". The slots are not meant to be used in that fashion. I know there are different mounts and frame stands, but dont ask me which is which :(
Was the setup ok with a stock pan ? If so, I would say the pan is the problem.

Do you have solid or stock motor mounts?

All the stock mounts I've seen are made so the engine rests on a rubber pad against the frame stand. If the bolt came loose the engine would not drop lower. I don't think Moroso solid mounts have the rubber part and the engine weight is on the bolt.............
