I'm replacing both front fenders and the old ones had a chrome strip on the upper fender that matched with chrome strips on the doors. Question is were these strips an option on a lower priced Chevelle or somthing special. I don't recall any 70 chevellles with the trim. Don't know to grind mounting tabs off doors or try to find new strip for fenders. Thanks for any help

That molding was installed on ALL 1970 Malibu models only. SS cars did not get them nor did the base Chevelle (300 Deluxe if you will).

Do you know anyone who has 70 malibu top fender trim for sale? Lots of people removed it when cloning to a SS. It runs on top of fender and meets at the door. There are no aftermarket options and ours is pretty beat up.

Todd,
I been looking on "*bay" and I have seen most of the pieces in the last few months. The only one I haven't seen is the Driver's fender, the only one I need (mine is kinked:( ). I believe that the rear quarter is different between the convertible (pointed @ Rear) and hardtop(turned up @ rear??) Maybe someone can confirm this. You can also try the classified section of this site.
Good Luck,
Kurt
