I have a 1970 Malibu, it has the 250ci six..with power drum brakes.
Although I have some mild tuning planned, I think the brakes are going to be ample.
I'd like to drop the front 2" - I hear people say "spindles" are the way to go, but never see any listed for drum brakes.
Could upgrade to discs on the front I suppose, but would rather put that money towards new wheels.
Any suggestions..want to keep a decent ride

There is no reason to not go with disc. An option is b-body spindles, and if you find a donor car there is a good chance it will have front disc and you'd be set.

Thanks Joe..I'll probably convert to discs..secondhand parts are few and far between here in England...so will look for a decent "complete conversion kit" trouble is, with shipping and import duty it will double the price
