hello i have used the search option but i didn't see an answer for my peoplem. i put a new sending unit in my tank, add a repro clock to the dash, and changed my printed board. before i did any work my gas gauge worked since i did the work my gas gauge wont come off of e. i have about 10 gallons of gas in the tank but my sending unit wire does not have 12 volts on it. i have checked for 12 volts under the dash along with in the trunk, the sending unit has a good ground. this morning i ran a a ground from the base of the front window and touched the post on the gas guge closest to the heater controls and my water gauge went over to 250. the gas gauge stayed on e.
