I don't know how long they were called Chevy II, but it's definitely not the 1962-67 variety. Maybe a later Nova?

Hard to tell but I'm thinking 2nd gen F-body. Pretty common swap and anyone who did any circle track racing would be very familiar with doing it.

looks Mustang II-ish to me. or maybe Pinto- which was pretty close to the Mustang II.
i don't know what the older Chevy II front ends looked like, but i think they had the spring mounted above the upper arm, like a first gen Mustang.

I'm very familiar with the Mustang II / Pinto front end as I ran a Pinto in Mini Stock. It has a 1 point lower control arm with a strut brace and disc brakes.

I have a 85 T/A but the pics show drum brakes and all Gen II's have disc's

Thanks everyone, thus far. I am Tony, the member who owns the 39 Chevy. Bill was kind enough to work on this question for me, thanks!

I might add that the control arm, looking from the topside straight downward, is tilted forward
somewhat ( the part with the grease fitting is tilted towards the front of the car. )

Maybe that will help you guys to figure out what it is. The only other thing I can say is that is has a manual Saginaw steering box, and some kind of hydraulic tube attached to the front of the suspension ( looks kind of like the pump action door closer you would see on a storm
door ).

Thanks again,

Tony

Tony,

That could be a Ford front end, can you send a pic of the power steering arm/piston, there also may be a part number on it.
