Hello everyone, first port on TC but I have been here for the past month reading...
I have just purchased and started a frame off resto/mod on my 1968 Chevelle weekend driver, this is my second frame off my first being my 1980 Corvette.

Currently I am in the research part and I am trying to figure out what to do for the front suspension.

I am currently thinking of boxing in the lower control arms. And using SPC upper control arms, im thinkning part number 94324 from summit. Along, with eibach 1.3 inch lowering springs and of course new shocks and disc brake upgrade.
I have looked at numerous posts regarding SC&C being the best, are the SPC not what they use?

For the Rear I am thinking about boxing in the control arms at this time. And Poly bushings all around.

Any suggestions?

I am currently working on the frame, then I have body work next...

Thanks
Mike

Might I suggest a stock GM 7/8" rear sway bar and a 1 1/4" front sway bar from a late 70's Pontiac Trans with the WS6 suspension package.

I might suggest you research the polly bushing BEFORE you install them .......

Street cars don't use polly ......... an race cars use heim's .... ;)

SPC uppers won't do you much good without tall balljoints or a taller spindle to correct the camber curve.

Ditto on the poly bushings... Rubber or Spherical are the only ones that work well on a Chevelle rear suspension.
