I'm going to keep the current Serpentine Setup I have on my 91 Camaro to put on my 406 that I'm swapping in but am wondering if I can use a reverse rotation waterpump without any problems?
I've heard the older blocks(pre 86), or even certain heads dont work so well with reverse rotation pumps(ie. air bubbles). The rest of my setup is in my sig.

Doesn't matter which way the pump turns; the water all goes the same way (except in the LT1 of course...)
Don't worry about it, it'll be fine.

Ahh ok maybe I got confused hearing about the LT1 style block/heads then.
So are the fins just angled differently to pull instead of push or??? And since were on the topic is one style more efficient than another for cooling and/or horsepower use?

I wish they would mark them, they both have the exact same water pump body. The difference is the impellor design.More than a few people have installed the wrong rotation pump and ran into a overheating problem.

I have a serp setup on my 408, no problem.
