hey guys. I recently did a big block swap on my 69. After putting in the new coil springs, the front end looks a little too high. Is this common? Should I just have a coil or two cut out? Thanks...

I would drive it some to let the coils settle before cutting any off.

If it doesnt do it sooner than normal, I would start by cutting off 1 coil.

I'm not a fan of cutting springs. Springs (just like any other active part) have geometry and just cutting a coil off will change the specifications. It would make more sense to drive it for a while then if that does not suit you, change to a different spring.

Just a suggestion.

Most likely it probably will stay higher than you want with BB springs. Even after a break in period which you need to do. I would cut the spring IF you find it necessary. But you could buy more springs and have a garage full of springs for your buds, like some guys do.

Part # for new spring? FWIW if you decide to cut them I would stay on the conservative side (1/4-1/3 of a coil at a time) as you can't add more spring but you can always remove more if need be. My 2 cents.
