I'm 3000 miles from my car and contemplating a manifold combo that instinct tells me won't work in my '65 Chevelle. I'd need approx 13" from the end rail gasket surface to the hood. Does anyone have their '64-65 in a position to take a measurement? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Greybeard, I am going to show my lack of intelligence here but what is the end rail? I can measure on my 65 tonight
Oh I got ya now. I don't think there is anywhere near 13" but I will check

Thanks Jerry,
There are times when you know the answer, but hope you're wrong.

Greybeard, I don't think it will fit, not in mine anyway. From the end rail surface to top of my air cleaner is 11". I have 1/2' clearance to the hood with mine. Maybe just maybe there might be just under 12" clearance. Can the air filter on that setup be changed or dropped?
Good luck

Thanks again Jerry!
With the choke horns trimed off, and custom air filter, the top would need to be 1.25-1.5" off the carb. Sooo, IF the motors sit in exactly the same place, and IF, and IF, and IF, it might IF'n fit, maybe.
I once hid a B@M blower under the hood of a '66 ELCO, and this thing is tantalizing.
