Are there any pages that have the various info on flywheels, something like the mortec page does for engines?
I bought a new 168 tooth flywheel to use with my 396, but when I pulled the flywheel off of my 350, it looks like it's the same as my new flywheel. It's GM part #3913456, but a search doesn't find any info on it

When you say flywheel, are you using a clutch, or is this an automatic flexplate?? Either way, the thing is the same, 350 or 396. Even 327 or 427. The only engines that are different, are the 400 smallblock, and the 454 big block. Then, once you get to 1986, then the smallblocks are different.

I thought there were 2 different size flywheels? The 168 tooth, 14" and a 153 tooth? (for manual trans) since they have the different size clutch discs (10.4 and 11") and the bigger 621 bells? I'm getting confused

I was trying to avoid typing a 1000 word post, but here goes.. :D
You are correct, 153 tooth flywheel, 10.4" clutch or powerglide trans. Small bellhousing like a 403 I think...265, 283, 302, 307, some 327's, prior to 1986.
168 tooth flywheel, turbo 400, some 350's, early 700's I believe, and 11" clutches, 621 bellhousing. 350, 396 and 427 all the same. (prior to 1986). 400 small block, and 454 big block use their own wheel, they are external balanced. Smallblocks after 1986 use a counterbalanced flywheel as they too are now externaly balanced. Are you still confused?? I am too now....

In other words, yes they are the same
