: Fuel Filter Placement?

1966 coupe, BB, Holley 750 double pumper. I bought a new fuel filter for her, just wondering where I should place the new filter?

Between the stock gas tank and the Holley mechanical fuel pump (that's where it is now), or betwen the carb and the fuel pump?

Would it be o.k. to run two fuel filters (one before the pump and one after) or is that overkill? If between carb and pump, why? Why not before fuel pump? Just curious.

Thanks

After the mechanical pump. I tried putting the filter before a mechanical pump and it starved the engine at higher rpms. I don't think it's necessary to run two filters, the sock on the fuel line pick-up in the tank will keep debris out of the pump........

I have an EFI. Isn't it better as close to the tank as possible on an EFI system?
