How can you have a no reserve Ebay auction in a Buy It Now/Best Offer auction? Check the auction below. I have always had a problem with no reserve auctions with the opening bid set at what the seller wants for the item. If you have an auction with the opening bid at $1000 then the reserve is $1000.

I don't believe the are "auctions" they are "for sale" ads.

They are auctions in the sense that a "Best Offer" price is set but doesn't have to be sold at that price. If a best offer exceeds your minimum, you can still choose to not sell the item where if a reserve is met, you're obligated to sell it - unless you renege and cancel the auction in time. If a best offer received doesn't meet your minimum you can still offer a second chance and haggle a bit.

Even with the illusion of "NO Reserve" on E-Bay you will more times than not be bidding against the owner himself are someone he has set up to protect his reserve anyway.
