Bob West Oct 4th, 04, 7:31 AM You'd be better off calling a reputable converter company,telling them what you have and what you want to do with it,let them choose the converter-ATI,BTE,Coan,Continental,etc. Harold Sutton Oct 4th, 04, 8:13 AM Actually the gears aren't likely to help much with a mildly cammed engine. I have a Buick G.S. with a 455 Stage One motor and the gears didn't help because the power band worked with the stock 3.42s. More gear just added up to more engine wear and noise and cut the gas mileage a bunch. Get a 24" or 26" tire to race on. That way you can carry the shorter tires to the track and not have to live with the stiff gears on a day to day basis. | ||
