I have the heater box & A/C Suitcase out of my 72 for seals & general cleanup. I'd like to refinish the outside of the case. Will a clear polyurethane stick to the fiberglass? Any suggestions for something better?

Also, a few of the small screw holes for mounting of relays etc are stripped. Does anyone have a suggestion to close them up so the screws will hold? Thanx.

I would think most all paints will adhere to fiberglass-need to be careful about a reducer softening the glass though. I would just get some Awlgrip from west marine or some other "approve for fiberglass" paint/thinner.

Could you just glass the hole in (get some fiberglass at the boat store while getting the paint) and then redrill it?
