Engine is being built to make 450hp according to EA3.0 plus an additional 150 shot of N2O. If In the future I feel like using a single plane intake, the amount of nitrous used will probably rise up closer to 200hp.

I have a set of resized 5.565 rods with 190,000psi bolts that were used in this engines last build up. Will these rods hold up to 62-6300rpm or do I need to by a set of quality 5.7 or 6.0's?

I would be more inclined to go with the 5.7" rods.

I ran the short rods in my 6000 rpm 400...even 6500 several times. Folks in the know would not hesitate to spin them that high...then again 200 HP of nitrous is starting to push the bounds of normal aftermarket pistons-TRW, etc.

Going to a 5.7 rod will require a different piston.

I WOULD USE THE 6 INCH ROD TO GET RID OF ROD ANGLE AND THAT CAUSES ALOT OF EXTRA FRICTION IN THE CYLINDERS THAT YOU DON'T NEED

Just use the stock rods and be done with it for 450 hp. I recall seeing old tests of 406's by Joe Sherman making over 600hp with stock 400 rods.

the 5.56 rods or 5.7 rods will work fine with good bolts as you already have and the 450 horse is easily obtainable with good heads and cam but to use the funny gas you had better get some good after market rods to make it live very long
