Well I went to the MT website to the FAQ's and there was an answer that said yes we do recomend you screw ET streets to the wheel. Hmmmm don't want to drill holes in expensive wheels.

Gene, do a search, ton of info.

Short version, you dont really need them as a bunch of guys here dont run tubes, but you may leak some air and lose consistency.

Been running M/T ET Street radials for a few years now...no tubes or screws.
My bro-in-law uses M/T ET Street bias ply...no screws or tubes. But, one tire always seems to loose air when sitting for a while.

Hey , guys, how do your ET street radials hook up for you on the strip ? I have BFG Radial TA's on my Chevelle now and they don't do nutt'in but smoke.
My Chevelle SS396 now is a 427 , 4 speed car with 342 12 bolt posi, but want to change to 410's and looking for tires that will hook up so the car don't sit in a cloud of tire smoke.

I have run E/T streets 28X11.50 on and off for years and never screwed them to the rim.

FWIW I believe if you run recommended tire pressure and your car isn't the 60ft. king you should be fine.
