I believe the 12 bolt came with the JL 8 option in the 69 camaros. Good luck finding parts at a parts store. I think that option was very expensive and very rare even when it was new. Better option is to use WS6 trans am disc brake parts. I think it was 80 81 that they were available from pontiac. Jim

If you want the Camaro rear disc setup, its about $15k (if you can find one used). Better approach would be an aftermarket setup. Just get any of the car mags like Streetrodder, etc. Lots of vendors. Or google the Internet.

Here ya go. I put these on my 55 Chebby and they work awesome. Also running disc on the back eliminates the need for C-clip eliminators.

from crg....
JL8 4-Wheel Disc Brakes - Available on '69 high- performance Camaro's. Installed mostly on Z-28 Camaro's, but technically available on any model. 205 known to be produced. A similar Heavy-Duty Service Option disc-brake rear axle was available over-the-counter but differed from JL8 in the details.

 thanks for all the info guy's , finally getting somewhere . i checked that site you gave me chris , one thing i can't understand is ; why they would'nt make the the caliper brackets & calipers for 79 to 81 t/a , to match the rotors ? , or all eldorado/seville the same . why the oddball matching ? . question for jim mack , if you please , you stated WS6 t/a parts , would you think if i ordered 79 to 81 t/a parts from g.m , or other , for just the [brackets] , that they would have them ? . what i'm trying to do is match all four rotors the same for looks & also slotted & drilled . or go to the boneyard & look for 79 to 81 t/a parts or ; seville/eldo calipers & t/a rotors ? . much appreciated - tommy

Here is a pic of my caliper if you can see it. Looks just like the finned Corvette style. Chris
