I hope this is ok in this forum, since there is no exhaust forum.

I'm trying to install my new Pypes X exhaust (on a 67), and am a little confused on where the hangers go (originals are llooonnnggg gone). If I put them where I thought they would go, the tail pipe doesn't come straight out the rear. It's turned more toward the center. If anyone has any photos, it would be very helpful. I took a few photos to show where I thought they might go:

This is driver side, looking into tailpipe:

Tailpipe angled toward center, rather than straight out:

Tailpipe hanger (which seems incorrect?)

I have the same kit on my 66 and the hangers look correctly installed but I will have to check tonight to confirm it. My exhaust doesn't angle towards the center. Seems like there was only one way to install those hangers with the existing holes in the frame.

Hanger at the muffler, the short strap goes on top of the frame.

I am looking at my 66 AIM and that hanger in the top pic needs to be swapped 180 degrees. Both rubber straps make one 90 degree bend and the hangers are side specific.
