43 g is gulf green with a green vinyl top. 713 is green vinyl interior. 09d means your car was built the forth week of Sept. There is no breakdown for the 007. I believe it is just some internal plant codes.:beers:

A hard top Malibu is nothing more than a 2 door coupe without B pillars. All 2 door non post cars are hardtops as well as 4 door non post cars.

Those things could have been changed over the years. Just because it no longer has green interior or a vinyl top does not mean it did not come that way originally. If you are concerned about your tag being switched, post a picture of it and someone here can tell you if it looks like it has been tampered with or not. Unfortunately unless you have or find a buildsheet there is no other way to tell verify this information. You can look for clues like old paint in the hidden crevices that sometimes get overlooked when repainted or any signs of the holes being filled where the vinyl top molding used to be.:beers:

These cars have been modified and changed so much over the year's, you'd never know it.

My first Chevelle was no where near how it came off the line, and I got it in 1984, it was only 12 Years old.
