I found it awile back when I was recovering my seats from my 1969 Beaumont. It was underneath the rear seat stuck in the springs. Some sort of build sheet mabey? Never seen one before. Looks like its signed "Buck" as well.

Certainly some valuable information on that card. However, it certainly isn't for a 69 Beaumont if that "13637" refers to a Model Number. Could have been a seat swap somewhere along the line

One of the options appears to be ".38". Did you find a pistol in the seat as well :D

Don, could the 13637 be refering to the body shell? If i remember correctly, my Beaumont has numbers similar to that stamped on the trunk lip. I don't remember the exact numbers but I know it starts with a 1.

It's a Canadian equivalent to a U. S. buildsheet often referred to as a 'line tag.' As noted, it's not for a Beaumont since it's a 13637 Malibu Sport Coupe from 1969. A Beaumont would be 73637

A51 - bucket seats
BX4 - body side molding (only found on 1969 models)
B37 - floor mats
B93 - door edge guards
C50 - rear window defroster
D55 - center console
D99 - two-tone paint scheme molding (same molding as a vinyl top but Canada used this RPO code for the molding on two-tone paint as well)
M38 - TH350
.38 - ?
3K1 & 3K2 - unknown but probably a Canada-specific RPO code

451 - could simply be a job number
5759 - two-tone colors, Fathom Green lower, Frost Green upper
785 - (if I'm reading it correctly) metallic medium green coated fabric
455829 - probably a body number as the last reported sequence number for Oshawa in 1969 was 334765. I have several 69 Oshawa trim tags on my site and that is a typical range; in fact I have one body number 455807 on a Malibu convertible and a body date of March 3rd week.

Thanks Dale very informative. As for the .38 the previous owner must have it. There is no way this line tag is for my Beaumont judging from the options there must have it must have been a seat swap at some point in time. Cool to find though is it possible this tag belonged to a SS car?

Based on my records this tag is from a 69 Malibu coupe built on the third week of March 1969.

According to Richard Kukclinsky (AKA "The Iceman"), Jimmy was stabbed in the back of the neck, put in a barrel, and shipped to Japan in the trunk of a crushed car.

Seems "The Iceman" went into a few more details in a biography than he did in his HBO specials, when he stated, "I think he is a Toyota now."

Not to derail the post but a few years back. I heard some elderly mobster came forward, well into his 90's, claiming Jimmys body was incinerated in a PA. steel mill. I think someone here on Team Chevelle actually posted a news story about that.

I found my "line tag" when I first got my car. It was in the rear pass side window area under the top pump. The mice had eaten some of it but it was mostly intact. I am now looking franticly for it. I almost threw it away. Does this actualy help ? Or mearly a neat thing to have?

Our '72 Lemans Sport was Oshawa built and had a similar strip in the seat springs. It was the right strip for the car. One of our Baltimore built Chevelles had the right half of a build sheet for an SS396 built 75 before ours in the rear seat back. Must have been a seat set out and set back in, in a different order. It didn't really matter which one as long as it was black vinyl Malibu.
