My bluetooth has static whenever I use it in my 64 chevelle. When I shut the engine off the static goes away. What in this car could be causing interference with my bluetooth?

The ignition system.

Could be about anything though. Spark plug wires, condensors, etc-etc...

They came up with the stupid idea of resistor spark plugs and resistor wires to reduce current for the sole reason of reducing radio noise. So they sacrificed a more efficient ignition system for less radio noise.

You can get suppressor wires that use a wire wound outer shield. Your battery acts as a giant capacitor to help reduce the noise from the alternator, which converts AC to DC before it sends it out to the battery. But it's not a perfect filter. It does send out a slight amount of AC.

Also, the alternator creates electricity from a mechanical action. That alone sends out some noise. Some more than others.

I doubt you'll be able to eliminate all noise, but there are some filter kits you can put on the hot wire of any devices you put on your car. A Pi filter consisting of a capacitor and a choke will help to filter the DC to your device. See your local radio shack.

If you have solid core plug wires, you'll most likely never get rid of all of it. Try a regular production coil to dist wire for the center one.
