I am really fanatic about my bluegrass which is watered by an automatic sprinkler system. It's gotta be perfect. I have a few spots that were running lean on a 3 day watering cycle. Yeah, the grass color just wasn't right. So I removed the nozzles from the sprinkler bodies and ported the inlets with a dremel tool for more water flow. Ah better! It's one of those gear head cross-over tendencies, ya know.

Thanks for the kind comments :D Yeah, I am crazy. The neighbors can't figure us out. Our lawn is perfect, but I start the Chevelle with the headers uncorked and stay up till all hours working on stuff in the garage. Those two are just inconsistent! And then my wife and I pull out if the driveway on our road bikes for a ride, wearing sissy lycra tight clothes and all. And then walk to church on Sunday.

It's fun to keep folks guessing  Like when I posted that I am a cyclist and shave my legs, just for the reaction. I got it, the topic responses were pretty darn funny until it got removed!

Watering your grass that often makes it weak and not tolerant of drought. I put my grass through a boot camp of sorts. I don't water until it begs for mercy. And it is stronger because of it.

I hear ya on grass watering. We are on a "secondary water system", where we pay a set fee tax for it. So my neighbors water twice a day, every day, cuz it doesn't cost any more. Our weather is 100 degree days, 75 degree nights, 10% humidity weather, and it never rains. Three days is the most you can get away with.

Yup, it's grass boot camp every spring. I really stress it out by not watering it, and it has to dig deep with a strong root system to survive. Once summer hits, it's ready to dominate. The neighbors water 6 times as much, but their grass is yellow.

If you like to cut grass come over and cut mine for me.
Around where I live you can only water 2 times a week or get a big fine$$$.
I dont water my grass it grows so fast I have to cut it every week and the amount I have to cut I have to do it everyday I spend $70 a week just cutting my grass.
here is only about 3% of my front yard along my 3/4 long drive way.
This was back in march when we were in a 3 month long drought with no rain.
