I've been looking at everything available and doing my homework on radiators and fans now for 2 weeks. I believe in being faithful to our sponsors here, and the Alumitech setups seem to be superb, just more than I can afford. I've seen several Chinese-made radiators on Ebay for $200 and just couldn't bring myself to buy something that may have been welded together by a 14 year-old chinese girl in some sweatshop (possibly, you just don't know). Today I called Charlie at Superior Radiator in Mt. Clemens WI and I was pleasantly surprised to here a real person on the line who builds his own radiators in his shop. When I asked about an aluminum crossflow with a fan for a 66 Chevelle he immediately told me about his product. I must say it sounded real impressive. An American-made product with 1" tubes and a 16" Hayden fan rated to handle 700 HP. This setup was $495 shipped. Does anyone here have any experience with these folks? I feel like I'm getting a good product, but I'd like to hear any feedback from you folks if you have any. I'm excited because it'll be here Friday and my car will be going on it's virgin run with its new drivetrain. If any of you folks care to take a look at what I'm getting, he also sells these on Ebay and the current one is listed under item # 150178114803. Thanks for any input. :beers:

I've never heard of them before, but the radiators don't look cheap like some I've seen (summit & jegs brand). I looked at one he has for a Camero and it had better up close pictures than that number you listed. Good looking TIG welds. Did he say what kind of fans he used when you talked to him?
I've been on the hunt as well (and won't buy a cheap pos for the same reason), but there is no way I can bring myself to spend $1000+ for a alum. radiator and a fan either. If you do get it, let us know how it goes.
edit* I see what fan you posted.

Don,
Just wanted you to know that I still LOVE my duel electric fan aluminum rad. I got from you at Christmas time this past year. That thing is great and it cools wonderfully!!
Thanks again,
Tod

I just started my engine a few hours ago for the first time since getting it all back together. I spoke with one of the guys at the shop and he told me the fans are Hayden. I've personally had good experiences with Hayden products in the past. It took close to 4 gallons to fill the radiator and engine. I'll update my post once I determine a cooling report! By the way, the radiator looks top notch.

Any word on the radiator you got?
