Well the time is finally here to start putting my motor back together after the nasty blow up it had. I bought a block screen kit and it didn't come with enough resin to install them. My queston is can I use JB Weld to put them in? Is there maybe something else I could use? Thanks for the info. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I think people usually use some type of Epoxy glue to do that. The stuff usually comes in a pair of syringe-looking things. when you mix the two liquids together it makes super-good bonding agent.

Almost all of the good 2 part epoxies like JB Weld or Loctite will work fine as long as you clean the crap out of the area you want it to stick to. ABSOLUTELY NO OIL, WD40 etc LEFT ;)
Probably the best thing to do is brakekleen the area real good & blow it off.

I used a two part epoxy that had a temperature rating of up to 250 degrees. After I had it all done I found a JB Weld epoxy that if I remember right was good for up to 600 degrees at a different Auto Zone store than I usually shop at.

I use #6-32 button head screws and steel mesh for trash screens also.It doesn't hurt to drill and
tap a small hole at your epoxy locations. The epoxy
will get in the threads and lock in location.
