Does anyone reproduce a tailgate window crank for '65's or am I stuck searching endlessly? I'm assuming that 64-67 are the same. Does anyone know what else works, like Olds, Buick, Pontiac? Thanks for any help...

Are you in search of a new one, or would an old one work.....so long as I can find it?

The cranks are not reproduced. The same crank was used on all 64-67 a-body wagons.

I'm in search of one that works. Mine broke the other night, putting it into permanent lock mode (spins freely like it is locked). A piece broke off and the spring and a square piece were at the bottom of the tailgate. Let me know if you have one. I tried UNEEDAPART.com that does a boneyard search and it came up with a possible part in a yard in MN, I think it was called Hensley's. I was going to call them tomorrow.

I believe I have an extra manual window crank mechanism. No exterior handle assembly...just the internal mechanics from a '66.
Email if interested...

Check out a late 70s Blazer/suburban rear window crank- they look awfully close...

The piece that broke is actually part of the handle that goes inside. I might actually call it the lock housing??

I ordered one today in hopes that the handle and lock housing(?) are the same. I know that the base plates are different, but for $23 for the 'burban crank, I figured it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the replies...

Good news, problem solved! Got the Suburban crank in today and the handle and lock housing fit perfectly. Used my old bezel and lock, and it works good. Thanks for the help...
