Thought I would post some results of a few things I tried at the track last week, should anyone be interested:
* Tried a 1 inch spacer.....picked up .15
* plugged the rear PV, jetted the rear up 8....lost.18
* Ran with the front sway bar installed....same 60 foot times as usual...a litle more consistant even.
Just thought I would share the info.

I'll second the swaybar deal,I put mine back on albeit with the worn out bushings,so it has plenty of give to it. 60fts were 1.71-1.73 last saturday with last 7 passes 1.71-1.72...Were the weather conditions similar on the previous two observations?

[QB] Open or 4 hole spacer?
Good question ........
Chris ..... I have been trying different 1" spacers on the engine dyno while breaking in my motor .......on the dyno so far the HTH 4 hole tapered spacer produced the best power by far ... but I'm being told that sometimes this does not translate to the track ......if you still plan to run your car at the track this year and if your interested I could send you that spacer to compare to what your running if not a 4 hole tapered
Although our engine combination are not exact they are close my UD cam is the roller version of your flat tappet we both use same carb ......intakes is where this might not be a good comparo

et was reduced by .15
spacer was open
converter is a 10 inch local built unit...may try another stall next year as this one is close to 10years old
ets that day were 11.50s at 119
thatnks for the offer for the 4 hole but the season is over for me now. car goes for paint next month...
