Good Afternoon; I have a 67 Malibu 2 dr ht and I am having a water leaking problem with the heater/cool box. It has a/c and I have a crack in the box under the dash that is not sealing to the firewall. I would like to buy a new one but I have not found any for a '67 w a/c. Does anyone have knowledge of someone parting out or know of where to get a new one??

Is it leaking coolant? The heater core is in that box on an A/C car.

Post a pic of exactly what you need. I parted a 64 A/C car a while back. I still have most of the A/C stuff less controls and vents

I do not have any to send today. I have not seen the 64 parts but will check with a freind who has on. thx. for the reply!

Coolant is fine but is leaking water from outside coming in throught the vent by the winsheild or leaking down the firewall under hood. The heat/cool box is cracked, missing a small peice and it needs to be replaced. With a peice missing, repair is not the best option.
any ideas for after market housing as I have checked a number of sites but none for 67 with air. ???

Sounds like you have 3 issues here. Water can come in through the vent cowl area if there are rust holes there. Another possiblilty is the heater box under the dash, bolts through the firewall. It is possbile that water is finding its way through the bolts that come through from the blower box. Try some sealer on those. Permatex # 2. Next, pull the cowl vent, and check there for rust holes. As far as the replacement box, a used box is the only possibility. I have not seen or heard of this part being reproduced.

Still waiting on a pic to make sure the one I have for you is the same. Its off a 64 and it should be the same but I would like to see a pic to be sure.

thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions. Recieved a call today from someone who has a complete used '67 heater/a/c box. thx again, this was very helpful and a great way to find the solution to my finding parts!!!
