Thanks!

there should be screws in the bottom of the chrome bases. the handles themeselves will stay on the door. . The visable screws on the bottom of the panel and it is just slid up into the chrome strip on the door. that chrome strip will stay on the door also . There are also the little clips on the window cranks. Nothing is really hidden on these models

it has a clip just like the the window crank, it looks like a horseshoe you need a screwdriver and some luck or a parts store has a tool that is like 8 bucks to remove the clips. You need to push back on the panel to see the clip

Spend the couple of bucks for the tool. I have spent a lot of time with screw drivers and other tools to get these things out. Pain in the butt if you ask me. With the correct tool, you will feel it pop into the correct position and will release the clip without popping it off. I took all of the door handles and window cranks out of my '66 in about 5 minutes.

for my 69 elky i used what looked like a screwdriver, but didnt have a screwdriver head, had more of a hook that gradually got narrower, just hooked the clips and pulled them out, didnt hurt the panels at all :D
