Ah... Welcome to the Dark Side of the Force...as once you go Rat you'll never go back !!

Some BBC's can go .125 over....But as always get your block checked out first before trying to punch one that big.... Two bolt blocks can take a tremendous amount of abuse. If your not building a dialed on kill engine then you shpuld be fine if the core is in good shape and properly machined and assembled.

COOL! I have that Vizard article on prepping the 049s if you're interested. In fact, I should mail the whole torque terror buildup to you, they started with the same deal, mid 80s 454. GOt the compression to 10:1, did some nice head work, and stuffed a small Crane solid roller in. Just don't take much to affix a can of WHOOPASS to a rat!

Dave,
.060" is plenty, but i would take it to .030" so that you can rebore it again if need be, down the road.

Stick with the #215's that you have saved up, and make sure you have the head work done by The Doc in jersey.

Want me to send you his email?

Hey Gene,

Could you please e-mail that "torque terror" article by David Vizard to me? I don't think that I have seen that one before. Sounds like good reading.

My e-mail address is dlbskb1@MSN.com

Thanks
