Here is the rundown- New motor with Crane XR i points to HEI conversion module in the distributor. I also have a new engine loom from lectric limited. I attached Cranes wiring diagram below. Let me know if I am correct with the following. The loom has a 2 wire with single connection for the positive terminal on the coil. According to the diagram pictured below all I should have to do is attach the black/ yellow to the neg, the black / red to the positive from the Crane module, and the double lead from the loom to the positive side of the coil.

The above almost seems too easy which is why I am asking if it is correct.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks to those of you that looked, but I called Crane and clarified.

Well, the Crane XRi ISN'T an HEI, but if you have it wired the way the diagram says, you are correct.

Milton

What should I call it?

Oh yeah, goody day yesterday! I painted the fenders which was the last 2 pieces on the car to get paint, and fired the motor. Started on the first crank.

"Crane XR-1 Ignition Conversion Kit"
Kit converts from contact points type ignition to solid state type but doesn't change it to "High Energy" type.
