I'm getting the car ready for a big show this weekend and can't find a good way to get all the dirt and grime out from around and underneath the emblems on my 69, short of removing them, which isn't a good idea. How do you guys get that area cleaned up? Is there a trick I don't know? I've tried everything I can think of, but the dirt is still there. Is it just me??

get an old tooth brush. That works great on getting old wax & junk out

YUP :yes: a toothbrush does the trick!!

You can also use a Q-Tip:yes:

X3 use twice daily :D

I've got one for when washing the car ....... & anther one thats for removing any wax after polishing :thumbsup:

soft paint brush (new) to sweep away dust

Cut the bristles down short on a paint brush maybe an inch long, this will also help to wax the emblems because the tips of the brush will get in there.

I use three different brushes, the brushes vary from a inch wide to a 1/2 inch wide.

I use a toothbrush designed for a baby. Ultra soft bristles, and the head of the toothbrush has rubber on it, as opposed to an adult toothbrush. Less chance of the head scratching your nice paint job, etc.

Pipe Cleaners, yeah remember those?

Only in today's politically correct world, I have come to find that the local craft store sells them as "Chenile Sticks" :rolleyes:
