well i dont see the con's when you get more horse power with a spacer other then the slight problem of hood clearance, but hey no hood looks cool to.

I guess it depends on what your looking for in a spacer. I have a 1 inch poly spacer that is called a super sucker. It is a 4 hole type where the intake side of the spacer's holes are tapered to a larger diameter. It increases the signal to the carb. I'm using it on a Weiand Team G oval port intake. Here is a link for Mr gaskets version, and a link for the one I put on My motor.

I've had 1" open, 1" 4hole, 2" open and 1" 4hole over 1" open spacers on my Camaro and in the end no spacer produced the best E.T. I think it depends on your setup and without actually testing at the track it's hard to tell which is best.

I tried two types of spacers when I dynoed my 406. I tested the 4 hole spacer and a clover leaf spacer, both 1" thick. Both spacers increased overall power. The clover leaf made more peaked power but the four hole spacer made a broader power curve.
