I am trying to remove the parking brake cable that attaches to the parking brake foot lever. I have disconnnected the cable from the parking brake foot lever but can not remove the cable where it enters the body. Does any body know how to release the clip that holds into the body?

Thanks,

Jon

I screw a gas line sized hose clamp on it to compress the fingers and get it to start through the hole. Once it's in the hole you can remove the hose clamp and pull it through.

That method usually works just great.

There is also a clip at the other end of the cable which holds it to the frame. That clip can be knocked out with a screwdriver and a few light hammer taps.
