I have a 67ss 396. Just ordered an m-22 trans. I am looking to get a blow-proof bellhousing. Will a lakewood fit with no tunnel or firewall beating and, if not who makes one for my ride with no metal modifications? Also where can I get a hurst shifter bushing kit-the shifter linkage is good, but I just thought I'd replace the bushings due to the new trans coming. I now have an m-21 in the car, but I like saying "rock crusher"(I know a few women who like to say that also!!!!!!!!!!!) Thanks for any help.

No problems here, I got a used bh on ebay, and it fits good. I also bought a new Hurst shifter, and elected to put the steel shifter bushings in the linkage. Hurst has the bushings. Lakewood has the bh.
