Just wacked the collectors of of my headers, and have fit up the flowmaster scavenger collectors. Figured while the trans is out would be a good time to up grade the exhaust. Should I consider an X pipe with the scavengers or skip it?

been there done that. heres the issue i ran into. the collectors mover everything back a concererable distance. the x pipe is going to be forced back as well. jack the rear end up and suspend the rear tires to get the driveshaft down. your x pipe will have to clear the driveshaft at its location. what you may/will find is your exuast system is going to be very low to clear the shaft. also, the collectors required me to use a lemons crossmember as they hit the stock member. change 1 piece and ya got to change it all. Dave

I wouldn't both the X & scavenger collectors. They both try to accomplish the same thing, each in a slightly different way. I believe if you have the collectors, skip the X or visa-versa.

Looks like the X won't be needed, and will avoid some fitment problems as well. Thanks for the replies.
