I just purchased a Lunati cam #401A3LUN
lift. 485 503
dur@.050 238 248
adv dur. 272 282
lobe sep 112
intake center line 108
what do recommend on the cam timing for my engine?
302Z28,11.1 comp,cross ram manifold,headers,4.10 gears.
need help on the cam timing,what should I cam time it to?

Advanced 4 degrees. It should give you the timing events on the cam card

I was considering that very one as well as 401A4Lun

I hate to say it but its going to be a while.The carbs for cross ram wont be ready for another 2-3 months.If you call Lunati,they can grind you one and you should have it within two weeks.

I'd put that cam in anywhere from 105° ATDC to the 108° ATDC that it should be ground on. It will pull over a wide RPM-bandf with any of those settings. The 106° is my favorite.
You can run the valve lash as tight as .016"/.018" hot.
Let me know if you need more info, but I'll answer tomorrow, 'cause now it's off to bed....
