Well had a fun day at track with new tire, caltracs, rancho and clutch combo. The 9.8: 1 327 with 5speed richmond had a best pass of 11.97 at 113.86 mph 1.70 60 footer. Other passes were 12.01 113.5 1.70 60 and 12.02 113.3 1.67 60 footer which actually hooked best with smaall bog probably from only launching just over 4000 but lifted front wheels a few inches. Rickster used his camcorder to watch what car was doing which was a very helpful thing.Caltracs seem to be a great add on which seem to really add consistency from old slappers that varied 1.77 to 2.0 60 footers. Rickster tells me cooler weather with better and more aggressive driving should bring 11.70's along with some tuning.Hoosier 10.5 27 QTP ENDED up with 15 lbs. This was 2.5 mufflers and no power shifts at 7000 trapping 7200 in 4th gear with 5 speed. AL

Combo consists of 184cc ported twisted wedge heads (253 cfm @28") ,victor junior with 1" 4 hole over 1" open spacer,750 mech. holley with 4 corner idle, horn milled and 74/84 jet and no sec. pv,UD 276/284f6 solid 243/251 at .050 installed 101 intake c/L,small journal steel crank stock rods resized with arp, speed pro flat pistons ,hooker supercomp 1.75/3.0 header, ram rag disk 3000# diaphram and 30# steel centerforce 12.75 flywheel.4.10 12 bolt and eaton posi and masterline s/s axles with arp 1/2 studs. Very pleased with caltracs and adjustable ranchos 1st day out. Maybe curiousity and some nerve will get myself to powershift this 5 speed richy before year is over to see what et that is worth. Long horizontal shifter is a very nice tight pc. for this trani ,at least grani shifting so far. A bit on the expensive side though. later, AL

Very nice! Sounds like it is not too terribly radical for an 11 sec 327. smile.gif

Do you have any pics of the car? How difficult was it to install the 5-spd in a 62-67 chassis?

1.75 inch primary headers on a 327! I like it. Some bigblocks here use 1.75 headers. graemlins/clonk.gif

Novadude not too bad insalling, just welded new brackets on frame a couple inches back for new crossmember location and opened floor tunnel some then rolled some 1/16 inch aluminum over it. 427 how often did u powershift before u noticed the damage and what kind of shifter do u run? Is IT WHEN shifts are missed that the damage comes quicker? thanks, AL
