I found a flexplate that fits my converter, all is good again smile.gif I cant find my darn BBC book, which way does the flexplate face? The side with the indents and the weight face the engine right?

Before you go any further, is the flexplate you "found" a 454 flexplate?

There should be a little lip that sticks out on one side of the flexplate. It faces the converter. But I agree, are you sure its a 454 flexplate?

100% sure, it's a transgo 454 flexplate, same bolt pattern as the SFI B&M ones, but just not fancy. Bought it new at my work. I couldnt remember which direction it faced but the old one had a dirty crank end outline on it, so that answers that I guess. I guess "found" was poor wording smile.gif hah... eh, thanks for the help.
