After reading a lot of posts regarding oil getting sucked into the cylinders, I realized that I need to know for sure what the correct PCV for my ZZ4 should be. It is brand new, I am running a Holley Street Avenger 670 carb, 1 5/8" headers. Car is currently a 350 TH with a 2.73 gear. Anybody know the AC Delco PN for the correct PCV? I shot the question to GMPP, but it never hurts to ask here.

I don't know what's recommended, but I'm using one from an L98 TPI if that helps any. Haven't seen any oil in the line yet.

Hey ZZ69,

Can you give me a car and year that would be for? Stupid parts lookups can't find their butt without make, model, and year.

Thanks,

Tim

The pcv valve itself isn't going to prevent oil from being sucked into the carb. If you don't have baffled valve covers you can almost expect it. You'll find having the proper pcv valve will help your engines idle over having the wrong one installed. I believe the ratings are based on the amount of idle vacuum your mill pulls...

L98's came in late 80's up to 92 Firebirds, Corvettes and Camaros with TPI. It has the same Valve covers and idle characteristics as the ZZ4. In fact, the ZZ4 has a revised version of the L98 Vette heads. The ZZ4 cam has a lot of lift, but is pretty mild. You'll have plenty of Vacuum.

Thanks ZZ69 and yes DJD, I have baffled valve covers, I just want to make sure that I use the correct PCV.
