Hello everyone. I'm a new member and this is my first posting. I have recently purchased a 65 malibu and dont know where to begin with it but I'm sure it will come to me. Twenty years ago I purchased a 67, at the age of 15, and completely redid the entire car with a 427, th400, 12 bolt with 4.56's. It was a lot of fun at the track but not so much on the street. I sold it and got a 69 SS w/375hp396 w/m22 4 speed that needed very little work. I lost my mind one day and sold that car, foolishly thinking I would replace it in a year or so. Here I am, ten to fifteen years later back at square one, but I've learned my lesson and will hold on to this one. My 65 is a no option malibu. It still has the original paint, it is faded and needs a quarter but its not hiding anything. I would like to post my first question here about metal dash repair. The previous owner drilled holes in the dash to mount a tach and guages. Should they be welded, soldered, plugged, or filled in with a epoxy filler like por15 epoxy or jb weld. Dash needs painted anyway so no biggie. Thanks and hello again.

I can't answer your question but welcome to TC. Try posting your question in the restoration forum, it gets quite a bit of traffic.
